Rock and Roll with Salisbury Steak

Today we spent the day in Salisbury, England.....HOME of STONEHENGE and Salisbury Steak (well maybe not). First we had to take a train through the English countryside.

In addition to the home of Stonehenge and a wonderful steak, Salisbury, England was the location for military training for D-Day and the landing on Normandy. It also has the second longest landing strip in the United Kingdom behind London Heathrow.
Also we discovered that the creators of Stonehenge had some good taste. Look at the bag we dug up there...

Little did we know that Stonehenge was surrounded by a rabid beastly animal.....they are baaaaaaaaad!

Salisbury was also one of the few cities that was not bombed during the air raids during WWII because the cathedral in town was one of the tallest in England and was used as a marker for bombers to find a route to England.

Thursday we are off to Paris!
